About Angela

Angela recently completed her Bachelor of Science in Theatre Arts at Southern Utah University in April 2022. Angela was taught to sew by her mother and grandmother and has always loved it as a hobby. She made it a career and entered the costume industry in January 2019, working at the SUU costume shop and worked as a stitcher at The Utah Shakespeare Festival the following summer. Since then, she has gained extensive experience as a first hand, stitcher, and draper and has also worked on professional wardrobe crews. In 2022, she won the award for Best Designer for her work as Costume Designer on SUU's production of Falsettos. Most recently, she worked as a first hand on Coriolanus for Utah Shakespeare Festival's 2023 season. She is currently based in Chicago working as a stitcher and first hand.
